Gene Chandler, an American musician and producer, has a net worth of $2 million.
Eugene Dixon, who grew up on the south side of the Windy City, was born in 1937 in Chicago, Illinois, and went on to play music in the ’50s.’
After performing with The Gaytones, Chandler joined The Dukays as their vocalist in 1957.

After joining the band, the Army returned after being discharged in 1960.
The Dukays and Chandler secured their inaugural recording contract.
“Duke of Earl” was released by him as a solo act, and it sold over a million copies in just one month.
The song held the number one spot on the Billboard charts for over three weeks. Afterward, Chandler transformed into the Duke of Earl with a cape, monocle, and top hat, wielding a cane.
In “Don’t Knock the Twist” (1962), he takes on the role of the Duke alongside Chubby Checker.
Chandler’s singles gained popularity and he soon established his own production company and record labels.
