Ralph Baer, a German-American video game developer, inventor, and engineer, had a net worth of $5 million.

Baer, who is recognized as “The Father of Video Games,” is credited with being a significant contributor to the development of video games.

Before World War II, Ralph’s family moved to America.

After serving in the American war effort, he ventured into the field of electronics and conceived the idea of playing games on a TV screen.

The Magnavox Odyssey, the first home video game system, was developed and patented by Baer. He was also awarded the National Medal of Technology in 2004.

The creation of Shooting gallery, the first light gun and game for home TV, is attributed to him.

The video game Pong was born out of Baer’s ideas.

He played a role in the co-development of the electronic games Simon and Super Simon.

All of his hardware prototypes and documents were donated to the Smithsonian Institute in 2006 after he was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 2010.
