Han Chang-Woo, a Korean-Japanese entrepreneur, is worth $2.6 billion.
Han Chang-Woo is the chairman and chief executive officer of Maruhan Co., Ltd., which owns pachinko parlors, bowling alleys, golf driving ranges, and movie theaters.
Presently, the corporation and its affiliates are in charge of operating and upholding numerous entertainment establishments across Japan and other countries.
The company was established in 1957 and has its main office located in Kyoto, with an additional office in Tokyo, both in Japan. Maruhan Japan Bank, its primary subsidiary, has expanded beyond Japan, including Cambodia, Myanmar, and Laos.
Maruhan was recently announced as an official bid partner for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic bid.
In November 2011, Chang-Woo, who had emigrated from Korea, declared that he is willing to surrender almost all of his assets to strengthen ties between Korea and Japan.
