The Arizona Beverage Company, which produces Arizona Iced Tea, is credited to John Ferolito, his co-founder.
Ferolito and Don Vultaggio founded a beer and soda delivery company in Brooklyn, New York in the 1970s.
Prior to the launch of AriZona Iced Tea in 1992, the company’s focus was on flavored seltzer and malt liquor. In 2012, Vultaggio sued Ferolito, claiming that the company could acquire John’s half-interest.
Another lawsuit was brought against Ferolito, alleging that he was negligent in taking a mulligan at a New Jersey golf course and hitting another golfer with his ball, resulting in his unconsciousness.
