Chuck Pagano was born in Boulder, Colorado in October 1960.
As a letterman for four years, he was a dependable player at Fairview High School and once more at Wyoming.
From 1984 to 1985, Pagano worked as a graduate assistant at Southern California before moving to Miami in 1986.
From 1987 to 1988, he served as the linebackers coach at Boise State, and then as the defensive backs coach at East Carolina in 1989.
