Mike Brown, who was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1970, attended Mesa Community College and subsequently earned a degree in business administration at the University of San Diego.
Before becoming a video coordinator and scout for the Denver Nuggets, Brown had previously worked as a video intern for the NBA.
After spending five years in Colorado, he transitioned to assistant coach for the San Antonio Spurs under Gregg Popovich.
The 2003 NBA Championship coaching staff included Brown.
After helping with the Indiana Pacers, he joined the Cleveland Cavaliers as their head-coaching coach in 2005. Brown, who won the NBA Coach of the Year award in 2009, went on to lead the team to some of the most successful teams in the league.
