Sean Foley, a golf instructor from Canada, has a net worth of $4 million.
Sean Foley’s experience includes coaching Sean O’Hair, Hunter Mahan, Stephen Ames, and Parker McLachlin, as well as other PGA Tour players.
Since the end of 2009, he has been coaching Justin Rose and Canadian PGA Tour player Chris Baryla.
Tiger Woods and Foley started working together in the summer of 2010.
Noh Seung-yul was taught by him in 2012, and Foley was paired with Lee Westwood in the summer of 2013.
According to Foley’s scientific approach to golf swing, golfers who are right-handed should place roughly 55% of their body weight on the left side and hold it left until they make contact with the ball, and when they hit the ball, approximately 80% of their weight should be on the left foot.
Mike Bennett and Andy Plummer use the same setup and weight shift instructors. Foley cites the similarity in their coaching methods and explains that they all studied the swing patterns of former players who maintained their focus on the ball for the entire duration.
Since 2003, Foley has been the head coach of the Canadian Junior Golf Association and teaches at Core Golf Junior Academy in Orange County National, Winter Garden, Florida.
He completed his Arts degree at Tennessee State University and was a member of the varsity golf team.
Despite not pursuing a professional career in golf, Foley had a desire to become a golf instructor by his mid-teenties, having witnessed David Leadbetter and Nick Faldo work together on the range at the RBC Canadian Open in the early ’90s.
August 2006 saw Foley move to Orlando, Florida.
In May 2011, Foley and O’Hair parted ways, with Foley stating that O’Hair was in need of a fresh start and wanted to change the direction of his instruction.
The agent for Foley is Chris Armstrong, who works for the Wasserman Media Group.
