Canadian ice hockey player Shawn Horcoff is worth an estimated $32 million.
Shawn Horcoff, a six-foot-one and 210-pound left-shooting center, was born in Trail, British Columbia, Canada, in 1978.
During the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, Horcoff was selected by the Edmonton Oilers with the 99th overall pick.
Prior to being called up to the major team in December of 2000, Horcoff was a member of the Oilers’ AHL affiliate.
He has been a member of the Oilers for most of his career, signing a six-year, $33 million new contract in July 2008 before being traded to the Dallas Stars in the 2012-13 season.
Horcoff has been a member of the Stars organization since the end of 2014, serving as an alternate captain. Despite leading the Oilers and contributing to the team’s journey to the Stanley Cup finals, he has never appeared in an NHL All-Star game.
He has participated in almost 900 NHL regular season games, contributing to 169 goals, 298 assists, and 563 penalty minutes.
Canada has benefited from Horcoff’s international experience, having won two gold medals at the 2003 and 2004 World Championships and a silverware at the 2009 tournament.
Horcoff and his wife, Cindy, have been married to each other since 2003, without any involvement in the ice.
They are parents to two children.
