Austin Croshere, who was born in Los Angeles, California, in 1965, played college basketball at Providence from 1993 to 1997, playing across the country.
During the first round of the 1997 NBA Draft, the Indiana Pacers selected a six-foot-ten, 235-pound power forward who was drafted 12th overall.
Until joining the Dallas Mavericks in 2006, he was a member of the Pacers.
Following that, he played for the Golden State Warriors (2007-2008), the Milwaukee Bucks (2008-2009), and the San Antonio Spurs (2009). He signed a ten-day contract with the team, but they let him go on January 28, 2009.
Croshere’s professional career saw him produce a record-breaking 4,475 points, 2,649 rebounds, and 627 assists.
During the 2000 season, he played in almost 70 postseason games for the Pacers, averaging almost eleven points, five rebounds, and 1.5 assists per playoff game.
