Tayshaun Prince, hailing from Compton, California, made a name for himself as a college athlete by playing for the Wildcats at the University of Kentucky.
Throughout Tayshaun Prince’s four-year tenure, the team made it to the NCAA Tournament, but they were unable to reach the finals.
Even so, he was recognized as the SEC Player of the Year in his third year.
In addition, they won the SEC Tournament in 1999 and 2001, and he was the 2001 SEC Tournament MVP. He was drafted by the Detroit Pistons after graduating from college with a degree in Sociology.
