Eddie Jackson was born in Richardson, Texas, in December 1980.
During his time at the University of Arkansas, he played cornerback and excelled in track and field, earning four national titles, becoming a College All-American, and setting a new record for the 110 high jump.
In 2004, Jackson joined the NFL’s Carolina Panthers as a free agent, having never been drafted.
Jackson’s career was with the Miami Dolphins from 2005 to 2006, and he later signed a two-year contract with the New England Patriots in 2007 for just over $3 million.
He was signed by the Washington Redskins in 2008, but was released before the start of the season.
