Casey Stoner was born in Australia on October 16, 1985.
At the age of four, he started his first race.
Between the ages of nine and fourteen, Stoner achieved victory in 41 dirt and long track races, as well as in 70 state races.
He participated in the national 125cc GP championships in Britain and Spain from 2000 to 2002, winning the English 125cc Aprilia Championship in 2000, and then went on to complete the 250cc GP World Championships in 2002.
He transitioned to the 125cc GP class in 2003.
In 2005, he made a comeback to the 250cc world championship class and competed for Lucio Cecchinello’ team on an Aprilia. However, in 2006, Yamaha terminated his contract with him, so he formed a renewed alliance with team manager Lucio Cecchinello on a Honda RC211V, on a one-bike team new to the series for the 2006 Season, Team LCR.
He joined the factory Ducati team for the 2007 season, riding with Loris Capirossi on the new 800cc Ducati Desmosedici GP7.
He secured his first GP title with 6 poles and 10 race victories, beating Dani Pedrosa by a 125-point margin in the second half of the season.
The 2008 season began with his triumph at Qatar, but he went without a podium finish in the next two races.
In 2009, he joined Ducati alongside his new teammate Nicky Hayden, and there is a possibility of a 4th season in 2010.
During the season opener in Qatar, he qualified on pole and was ahead in the leader’s standings before losing the race.
After working at Ducati Corse for four years, he joined Honda Racing Corporation in 2011.
