At age 16, Clayton Mathile, who was born in Portage, Ohio, graduated at the top of his fourteenth student class and later received a basketball scholarship to Ohio Northern University.
After studying mechanical engineering in college, he pursued a career in business.
In the aftermath of his scholarship’s failure, he started working at a gas station to make ends meet.
Upon graduation, he commenced his career as an accountant at a General Motors manufacturing plant. He then spent seven years working in accounting and other related departments for the Campbell’s Soup Company.
