The Chinese entrepreneur Cui Zhixiang has amassed a fortune of $820 million.
Cui Zhixiang used to work as a banker for the People’s Bank of China.
Zhixiang chose to start his own business after leaving the banking industry, and in 1998, he co-founded Dongying Fangyuan Nonferrous Metals, which became one of China’s largest copper cathodes producers. The privately held company, which is the main source of Cui Zhixiang’s wealth, is based in the Shandong province.
The Chairman of the company, Cui Zhixiang, was named as one of the “Nonferrous Metals Industry 30 Years Influential Enterprises Leading Persons” by Shandong Fangyuan Noneferras Metals Group in 2014. He is known for his significant influence and reputation in the industry and his efforts to promote the prosperity and development of this industry.
