With a net worth of $2.4 billion, Ingeburg Herz is a German businesswoman who divides her fortune with her sons.
Mrs.
Tchibo GmbH, the maker of Germany’s most popular coffee brand, is owned by Herz and her two sons, Michael and Wolfgang.
The company’s ownership was passed down to Ingeburg’s late husband, Max Herz. Ingeburg’s family also owns a 50% stake in the publicly traded skincare firm Beiersdorf AG, which is famous for its Nivea range.
In 2012, Tchibo and Beiersdorf reported net profits of $1.08 billion and revenues of $13 billion each.
Ingeburg Herz’s family feud resulted in her being separated from three of her sons, and her two children, Gunther and Daniela, were dismissed from the company in 2003.
