Vladimir Petrovich Yevtushenkov (Evtushenkov) was born in Kaminshchina, Smolensk Region, on 25 September 1968. He is a significant shareholder of Sistema, which is one of Russia’s largest holding companies.
After graduating from the Mendeleyev Institute of Chemical Technology in 1973, he pursued a Masters Degree and a PhD in Economics.
Afterwards, he was offered significant positions in several companies, including the Karacharovo Plastics Works, Polymerbyt Scientific and Production Association, and others.
In addition, he served on the Moscow City Executive Committee in various positions. Yevtushenkov founded Sistema in 1993 with multiple partners, and Sistema now has shares in approximately 200 companies.
His other interests include holding shares in toy stores and oil companies such as Russneft and Bashneft.
He has served on the board of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs since 2000 and has also been a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation since 2002.
