Wei Yin Chun, a Taiwanese entrepreneur, is worth $2 billion.
Wei Yin Chun, along with his siblings Ing-Chou, Ying-Chiao, and Yin-Heng, who founded beverage producer Tingyi, became part of the billionaire’s circles.
With its headquarters in Cayman Islands, the company has a 48% share in the ready-to-drink tea market in China, along with 26% of bottled water sales and 56% of instant noodle sales during the third quarter of 2013. Since February 2004, Shanghai Disney Resort has partnered with Tingyi and PepsiCo, which have been the main drink suppliers at the resort.
Despite this, Wei Yin Chun experienced hardship last year as the family-owned Wei Chuan Foods he manages is facing allegations of violating food safety regulations.
Moreover, the Wei family is involved in Taipei 101, the tallest building on the island, and also owns the Dicos fried-chicken chain.
