The net worth of Zarakh Iliev, a Russian real estate mogul, is $3.8 billion.
Zarakh Binsionovich Iliev was born on September 8, 1966, in the village of Krasnava Sloboda in Azerbaijan.
From a young age, he specialized in sewing hats, assisting his father Bension, who was a shoemaker.
At the age of 17, Iliev began selling alcohol after moving to Moscow in 1983.
He and Nisanov joined forces at a later time, and they began building and developing shopping centers near metro centers, which eventually became large retailer centers. He founded his company Iliev in 1993, which managed 15 hectares of Moscow’s Cherkizovsky market.
After a few years, Iliev acquired 57% of the wholesale-retail shopping center “Moscow”, which was once a ball-bearing factory of Lablino but was later converted into a trading market center “Moscow” with a 200 000-square meters area.
Additionally, Iliev is the co-owner of Radisson Royal Ukraine Hotel, European Shopping Center, and Radisson SAS Slavyanskaya Hotel, along with several large shopping centers located in the suburbs of Moscow.
Several other developments are under way, including two oceanariums, one of which will be the largest in Eastern Europe, and it will be housed in VDNKh, a massive exhibition space in Moscow.
