Zhu Gongshan, the chairman of GCL-Poly Energy Holdings, a solar energy supplier, has joined Li Hejun, an alternative energy billionaire, on China’s richest list. Despite a challenging year for the industry, GCL’s shares and Zhu’s wealth have increased in tandem with Chinese government initiatives to promote renewable energy in households.
The China Photovoltaic Industry Alliance has Zhu Gongshan as its co-chairman, in addition to GCL-Poly Energy Holdings.
