Ziyad Manasir, a Russian construction magnate, is worth $2.8 billion.
He is the owner of Russia’s largest construction company, Stroygazconsulting, and has amassed a considerable fortune.
In 2012, Manasir’s construction company, which has a strong partnership with Gazprom, reportedly earned over $11 billion in annual sales.
The Portovaya pumping station, which carries gas through the Nord Stream pipeline system, was put into operation by the company in the same year.
Stroygazconsulting’s primary client is Rosavtodor, a federal agency responsible for road construction in Russia, in addition to the monopoly on gas. Stroygazconsulting, which was founded in Jordan, was originally from Jordan as an exchange student at the Azerbaijan Oil and Chemistry Institute.
While he was studying, he began purchasing computers and cars, but then began trading yellow phosphorus, timber, and oil products.
He had acquired a construction site in Tyumen by the mid-1990s, where he erected homes for Gazprom staff.
The company he founded eventually evolved into Stroygazconsulting.
