The Sultan of Brunei’s second son, Prince Azim, was born into a wealthy family.
Prince Azim’s fortune was worth $5 billion at the time of his death in 2020.
One of the twelve siblings of the Brunei Royal family, he was the fourth in line to take the throne.
The films “You’re Not You” (2014), “Dark Places” (2015), “Wild Oats” (2016), “The Time of Their Lives” (2017), “The Happy Prince” (2018), and “Hellbent” (2018) were all produced by Prince Azim, who was known for his charitable work.
Prince Azim, who was born as Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim of Brunei on July 29, 1982, in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, was diagnosed with systemic vasculitis, an autoimmune disease, and passed away at the age of 38 in October 2020.
He was the second son of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, the Sultan of Brunei, and Pengiran Isteri Hajah Mariam.
Prince Azim’s educational background includes attending International School Brunei, Raffles Institution in Singapore, and Oxford Brookes University in England.
He was sent to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in England for a nine-month officer training course in 2008, but he abandoned the course after the first week.
