An Irish pop star, Shane Filan, has a net worth of $3 million and is a pop singer.
The Irish pop band Westlife’s original lead singer, Shane Filan, is probably his most well-known contribution to the genre.
Born on July 5, 1979, he grew up in Sligo in northwest Ireland.
He started his career as a waiter at the family-owned Carlton Café on Castle Street in Sligo, where he has three older brothers and sisters.
He attended Summerhill College, a Catholic school, where he met two of the original members of Westlife, Kian Egan and Mark Feehily.
At the age of 12, these three future band members took part in the school’s production of Grease.
Michael Jackson, the deceased pop star, was a musical influence on Shane during his formative years. He got married to his childhood sweetheart Gillian on December 28, 2003, and they now have three children.
Westlife’s debut album, Westlife, was released in November 1999, and it was a simple album that went platinum, with over 40 million records sold worldwide.
Filan has written and co-wrote several songs for the band, including Fragile Heart, Bop Bop Baby, Don’t Say Say It’s Too Late, Singing Forever, Closer, and Too Hard To Say Goodbye.
Alongside Brian McFadden, he has written songs for other artists such as John Ostberg’s Listen Girl, Jerry Given’s The Music Won’t Last, and II Divo’s Sei Parte Oemai Di Me.
