A Scottish snooker player, Stephen Hendry, has retired and amassed a fortune of $16.5 million.
He is famous for being the youngest professional snooker player, starting at 15 years old, and later becoming the youngest world champion at 21 years old in 1990.
The birthplace of Stephen Hendry was South Queensferry, Edinburgh, Scotland on January 13, 1969.
He has a career record of 36 ranking event titles, 21 ranking finals, and 38 non-ranking event finals, six of which were Masters, as well as winning Team Finals events in 1987, 1991, 1996, and 2001.
Hendry was a recipient of the Order of the British Empire in 1994, the BBC Sports Personality of the Year in 1987 and 1996, the WPBSA Young Player of the Year in 1988, the WPBSA Player of the Year from 1990-93 and 1995-96, and the WPBSA Outstanding Performance in 1995.
Hendry’s career accomplishments consist of having the longest winning streak in ranking events, having won the most consecutive matches in a single tournament, recording the most centuries in one tournament with 16 and 775, and having the most years at the top of the world rankings, as well as the highest total prize money.
